What is a Clinical Dental Technician?

Clinical Dental Technicians are registered Dental Care Professionals who specialise in the treatment of patient’s dental needs. This includes the construction, fitting and repairing of dental applications such as dentures.

Becoming a Clinical Dental Technician involves an extensive amount of studying and training through various modules of sciences, clinical skills and customer care.

Clinical Dental Technicians are regulated by the General Dental Council and they may work with dentists to confer the best treatment possible for the patient.

As well as specialising in dentures, Clinical Dental Technicians offer a range of other services which includes advice on oral health and carrying out clinical examinations to search for any oral abnormalities. Additionally, they may even refer patients to other health care professionals to provide the best care possible.
